March 25, 2026 | Medal of Honor Recognition Ceremony
Today, we gathered in solemn remembrance and gratitude to honor the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s Medal of Honor recipients. Their actions represent the highest ideals of duty, honor, and selfless service.
As we stood beneath the flags of our nation and reflected on their legacy, we were reminded that freedom is preserved by those willing to place the needs of others before their own.
El Camino Real Forum remains committed to honoring our heroes, preserving their stories, and ensuring future generations understand the sacrifices that helped shape our nation.
“Their valor inspires. Their sacrifice endures. Their legacy lives on.”
Storm the Beach
Each Memorial Day, El Camino Real Forum hosts Storm the Beach, an annual advocacy and awareness event held at Parking Lot 8 North in Santa Monica.
This beachfront property was originally donated as part of the historic Veterans Home lands for the recreation and enjoyment of veterans. Storm the Beach serves as a reminder of that history and of the continuing responsibility to preserve and protect resources intended for those who served our nation.
Veterans, families, supporters, and community members gather each year to honor the legacy of the Soldiers Home, educate the public about its history, and advocate for the return of veteran-dedicated land to its intended purpose.
More than an event, Storm the Beach is a reaffirmation of a promise made to America’s veterans.
A home for veterans should remain a home for veterans.
